Science Poll is an ongoing and experimental WWW polling project we are conducting in order to produce a multimedia data base of popular ideas and beliefs on natural phenomena and science.

"What is Light?" is a question that provokes different responses from different people based on their belief system and level of scientific knowledge. We have chosen questions that are very deceivingly simple such as "Why is the Sky Blue?" - questions that children often ask. However, the simplest questions are often the most difficult to answer and we find that even scientists give very different answers from eachother.
